After that the program creates a file in the hard disk with the name "Wsutmp"...And another file called "reg.reg". When I turn on the PC, always show me the message "C:wsutmpdeslag.exe.C:windowsThe file Deslag.exe is corrupted"..I use Win98...After that the PC works normally but I dont like because it changed me the file Autoexec.bat...Iīm worried...What can I do?

Please let me know the exact error message.

You will find a backup of your original autoexec.bat at C:wsutmpautoexec.wsu. This folder also contains backups of the Registry, for the case that the deslagging did not work.

Deslag.exe

I open the application "Msconfig" and I put in disable the starting in "Autoexec.bat". Windows does not show the error message anymore. But I am worried for the future. Right Now I uninstall Winspeedup and I donīt erase the file C:wsutmp

May I change the name of the file Autoexec.wsu to Autoexec.bat and the anothers file like "System.wsu" and "Userdat.wsu" and replace them in their original place?
Could I have trouble to make that?

I donīt remember the original path of the files.Explain how can I repair them.

Thank You

You can rename autoexec.wsu to autoexec.bat and copy it to C:. This will overwrite the modified autoexec.bat. Before doing this, you should open both files with a text-editor and compare them. The modified file contains only the entry "C:wsutmpdeslag.exe C:Windows".

You should leave the other files, they are only needed if you have problems after deslagging. After you restored your old autoexec.bat, you can delete the C:wustmp folder.
